APPLETON MACC AND CHORLEY PROGRAMME WEEK BEG 9.9.24

Hi everyone

Phew! What an amazing (and busy!) first week back! Thanks to you all for making the tasters feel so welcome and at home, and I hope we have lots of new joiners as a result. Thanks also to all those members who helped me with the meeting and greeting - it was so appreciated.

Next week's programme is as follows:

DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE - a recent addition to the choir's repertoire

GUYS AND DOLLS - continuing from where we left off last week

DANCING QUEEN - continuing from where we left off last week

THIS IS WHY WE SING - an old favourite we learned online during covid!

NEW JOINERS - if you are reading this, then your email addresses will have been added to the database. You will get an email like this every Thursday or Friday (make sure it doesn't go to spam!), telling you what to prepare for the following week. I will give you all the taster folder you had last week for you to keep, but obviously you will need to add to it yourselves. If you go to the Members' Area of the Magic Voices website, you will find all you need here:

Just click on the relevant song, and print off or download on to your iPad the sheet music. Please use the full choir score, rather than just your individual part - then you can see what the rest of the choir is singing in relation to your own vocal line. You can also listen to your vocal tracks here.

There is a facebook group you can join here:

where I also copy and paste this email. You can also access it on the website, under "weekly program", here

Your membership also entitles you to attend any, or as many, MV sessions as you wish - I run the Appleton (Mondays), Macclesfield (Wednesdays) and Chorley (Thursdays) branches.

I will give all new members a handout with all the above info next week. It is also really useful to bring a pencil to rehearsals.

See you next week!

Andrew x
