Hi Apples
What a brilliant, memorable night we had tonight! Thank you so much for your energy and hard work. You were wonderful! I hope all the newbies to our choirs now understand the "high" that a concert can bring you. Soloists, you were fabulous, fearless and a credit to your choirs, yourselves and to me. Big thanks to all those who helped behind the scenes, Chris Lord for his excellent MCing, the band and the wonderfully talented Mr Rumble, without whom these choirs would not exist. You just sounded absolutely amazing, and you raised your game from song to song. Thank you so much everyone!
Unfortunately I can't be with you on Monday night. For those of you who don't know, my Mum fell the full length of the stairs on Tuesday night and has been in hospital with some fractures and a LOT of bruising. It could have been a lot worse, but she is so tough. She is being discharged from hospital on Monday and I need to settle her into a care home for some temporary respite care for a week or so before she comes home. So the lovely Ged will be filling in for me.
Programme is as follows:
IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
XMAS CAROLS MEDLEY (Silent night etc)
O HOLY NIGHT/SOMEWHERE IN MY MEMORY
I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY - recapping from the beginning, and continuing to learn from bar 71
WINTER WONDERLAND
Thanks to all those who asked about my mum - it means a lot in what has been a tough week.
See you soon
Andrew x
