Hi Chorleyans
As those of you who attended tonight's rehearsal will know, THE BIG CONCERT IS BACK ON!!!
Details as follows:
DATE - SUNDAY 12TH MAY 2024
VENUE - THE LANCASTRIAN SUITE, CHORLEY TOWN HALL
PERFORMANCE TIME - tbc - but evening - probably 7.30pm
REHEARSAL WITH BAND - afternoon, probable start time between 3 and 4pm
ALL OTHER DETAILS THE SAME AS BEFORE - same soloists please (if you are available), same programme, although I may do a little "tinkering" with this to accomodate recent learning.
All members who joined from January this year will be welcome to attend as part of the audience.
After Easter, I will be including a few songs each week from the concert programme for refreshing (NOT relearning haha!), although I am sure you will have retained the harmonies very well. If, over Easter, you can have a listen and a recap yourselves, that would make the whole process a lot faster. We WILL be continuing for the majority of each rehearsal session, with our current and new learning. Old songs side by side with new!
THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT!
We need a pretty accurate idea of numbers of those members participating - obviously things may change between now and May, and a few may have to drop out or a few may suddenly become available. That's fine. I asked members who were there tonight for a show of hands. So, PLEASE WOULD ALL MEMBERS WHO WERE NOT AT CHOIR TONIGHT (excluding members who have joined this year) AND WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE CONCERT CONFIRM BY REPLYING TO THE EMAIL THAT HAS JUST GONE OUT OR COMMENTING ON THE FACEBOOK POST. This would be so helpful. You don't need to reply if you confirmed attendance tonight at choir.
It's been a long time coming Chorleyans, but we are on the up!
