CHORLEY METHODIST CHURCH CONCERT

Hi Chorleyans

Here is (hopefully!) everything you need to know about your forthcoming concert.

VENUE - Chorley Methodist Church, Gillibrand Walks, Chorley PR7 2EZ

DATE AND TIME - Saturday 7th March. Your slot starts at 8pm. However, there is a solo pianist on before you at 7pm. It would be nice for as many as possible to fill the church up for that performance. 

PARKING - limited parking at the venue. Nearby car parks - Fleet St PR7 2EY and George St PR7 2BN. Be aware that there is restricted parking on some of the surrounding streets. Please see attached map kindly provided by Wyn Eccles from the Lows! (no copyright, Wyn!)

DRESS CODE - Ladies - black, sparkly, long, formal and fancy as you like. Men - white shirts, black trousers, silver tie/bowtie

PLEASE DO YOUR OWN WARM UP IN THE CAR!

PLEASE HAVE ALL YOUR MUSIC IN THE CORRECT ORDER IN BLACK FOLDERS OR ON IPADS

PLEASE STAND IN YOUR REHEARSAL POSITIONS, AS FAR AS POSSIBLE TO DO SO

PLEASE DON'T TALK BETWEEN OR, GOD FORBID, DURING, SONGS!

This is a "standing only concert", unless you are unable to do so, in which case please tell me on Thursday night and I will arrange a chair.

This is a new gig and a new venue for us. Ruth, the organiser, approached me at the end of a Croston performance and asked me if we would  do it, having obviously been impressed by us! I don't know what the venue will be like but I am assured there will be enough space for us all at the front. The space may not be ideal, but let's make the best of it as we always do. It sounds very much to be organised along "Chorley Live" lines, with back to back performances, with 15 minute intervals to reset the area. After the pianist has finished, PLEASE DO NOT ALL CHARGE TO THE FRONT! I will need all of those 15 minutes to set up the speaker, music stand etc, and the piano will need to be moved. Please make life easier for me by just waiting until I call you up!

If there are any questions, please ask on Thursday night, although lots is unknown (like, where are the toilets!!!)
