- 2 min read
Hi Chorleyans
Well sung tonight everyone - St Leonard's is going to be terrific! AND we finished One Day More!
Anyway, another weekend another concert so ........
Here is your programme for Chorley Live on SAT 4TH OCTOBER:
ONE SHORT DAY
DIRTY DANCING
PART OF YOUR WORLD
CALAMITY JANE
ANTHEM
YOU WILL BE FOUND
ELECTRICITY
WATERLOO
It is a standing room only programme, and therefore, we need to practise the above, with Neil's links, next Thursday night, standing up for your stamina (not applicable for those not doing the concert of course!)
We will then finish off DEFYING GRAVITY and tidy up ONE DAY MORE.
CONCERT DETAILS AS FOLLOWS:
VENUE - ST LAURENCE'S CHURCH, UNION STREET, CHORLEY PR7 1EB
DATE AND TIME - SAT 4TH OCTOBER 7PM
ARRIVAL TIME - BETWEEN 6 AND 6.30PM (we are first on, so there is plenty of time to sort ourselves out. But please be hasty leaving when we have finished, as there is only a 15 minutes turnaround time before the next act is on)
TICKETS - you do not have to pay but your guests will need to buy a wristband either in advance from Chorley Town Hall or on the night. These will entitle you to attend any gigs over the 2 nights of the festival.
DRESS CODE - LADIES - formal black evening wear as fancy as you like with a splash of red. GENTS - black trousers, white shirts, red bow ties/ties. Please note that this will be the last occasion for "splash of red" following new directions from Magic Voices regarding concert wear. In future, it will be formal black, silver, and lots of sparkles - this is beacuse of the amount of other choirs wearing black and red. I think this is a really positive move by Andy and Mike as WE WANT TO STAND OUT!
SPACE IS TIGHT so please breathe in and try to stay in your usual choir positions! In other words, please don't stand at the front if you usually sit in the middle or at the back!
PARKING - lots of parking available in car parks right outside the church in the square and further down Union Street.
We usually have a room allocated for coats, belongings etc.
See you on Saturday at St Leonard's or next week Chorleyans!
Andrew x
