Hi Apples and Maccers!
And a very happy new year to you all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are ready to come back to choir next week.
We will have plenty of tasters joining us next week, so can I have my usual helpers to assist with meeting and greeting please. I know you will all be your usual welcoming selves, and please try to give them a hand if they get lost in their music, or have any questions.
I've got an uplifting programme for you which looks like this:
ANTHEM
DANCING THROUGH LIFE - a brand new song for all of us from Wicked.
HEART OF STONE - from Six the Musical. I know I briefly started this with some of you last term, but I will be recapping it from the beginning.
ONE DAY MORE
The opener and finisher are your chance to show off what you can do to the tasters!
Ged thoroughly enjoyed himself at Tatton Farm before Christmas and said what a lovely gig it was and how well you all sang.
Obviously the past 3 weeks have been the most difficult I have ever experienced in my life, and I would like to thank you all for reaching out to me with your condolences and words of support. As a family we are utterly heartbroken. My Mum was an extraordinary lady who lived a long eventful life and she would want life to go on. She also knew how much my choirs meant to me, and over the coming months my work with you all will help me get back on track and find my "new normal". Please could I ask - no speeches, no presentations, no hugs, no sorrowful looks! Choir is a happy place for all of us, and that's how it should continue. Besides, I will be too busy dealing with tasters for all that!
See you next week everyone!
