MACC PROGRAMME 24.1.24

Hi Maccers!

What a great session this week - you really showed the new members and tasters what a great bunch of singers you are!

So, as promised, next week's session will be all about the St. Alban's concert on Friday 26th. After a short warm up, we will literally whizz through the programme in 2 half hour sections. I will ask you to stand for each half hour, as this is what will be required in the church and you need to get used to that. Please have all your music in the right order.

Programme as follows:

FIRST HALF

1. I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW 3.20

2. SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW 3.37

3. A WHOLE NEW WORLD 2.18

4. MOON RIVER 2.46

5. CALIFORNIA DREAMING 2.23

6. LET IT GO 3.41

7. SEASONS OF LOVE 2.55 (from the RENT MEDLEY)

8. LOVE REALLY HURTS WITHOUT YOU 3.02

9. BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER 3.33

SECOND HALF

1. ONE VOICE 2.40

2. ZOOM 3.42

3. GO THE DISTANCE 4.31

4. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF 8.18

5. THIS IS ME 4

6. THIS IS WHY WE SING 3.20

As at St Michael's, we will save "This is why we sing" as an encore. So speeches and thank yous etc will come after "This is me", which the audience will think is the last song. Chris Lord will be providing links and I have 8 men from Appleton and Chorley joining us on the night. Further venue details and timings later on next week after I've conferred with Annie Starkie.

New members, you settled in beautifully this week and thank you so much for joining our choir. After this concert, everything will get back to normal and we will carry on with the Abba and Lion King medleys. You are very welcome to come next week to the rehearsal session and either listen or try to join in! You will all be very welcome to be part of the audience at the concert of course.

All sheet music and vocal tracks are available here:

Maccers, you need to be totally "on it" next Wednesday night as we literally only have this one session to run the programme, but if your rendition of "This is me" on Wednesday night is anything to go by, you will absolutely smash it! If you have time between now and then, try to run through your harmonies if you can, especially "Bridge over troubled water", which we haven't sung for a while.

See you next week!

Andrew x
