MACCLESFIELD ST ALBAN'S CONCERT 21.3.25

A few details regarding Friday night's concert.

VENUE - St Alban's RC Church, Chester Road, Macclesfield SK11 8DJ

TIME - doors open for us at 6.15pm. Doors open to the public at 7pm. Concert starts at 7.30pm.

DRESS CODE - GENTS - black trousers, white shirts, red ties/bow ties. LADIES - black evening wear with a splash of red, formal and fancy as you like!

PARKING - It's on a main road but there will be parking for blue badge holders outside. There is a small parking area near the church hall on the opposite side of the road or Whalley Hayes Car Park is a short walk away.

BELONGINGS can be left on our chairs at the side of the altar, as usual.

SINGING - 2 haves of 30 minutes, standing up, with a 15 minute interval

REFRESHMENTS will be served in the church hall afterwards - everyone welcome.

PLEASE BE THERE FOR 6.30PM SO WE CAN DO A FEW LALAS AND YOU CAN FIND YOUR STANDING POSITIONS. I say this everytime there's a concert to all my choirs - please try to stand in the positions you occupy during rehearsals. I don't want people who sit in the middle or at the back of their sections suddenly rushing forward to join the front row because we're doing a performance, so they can be seen by their family!

CONCERT ETIQUETTE - please have all your music in order. There is no reason for anyone not to have music. Please use iPADs or black folders. Please do not talk between songs, while Chris Lord is narrating, or heaven forbid, during song introductions. You are an amateur choir but I want you to look and sound as professional as possible!
