Magic Voices Appleton, WB 31/08/2026

Welcome back to choir, Apples!

I hope you have all had a lovely summer, and some relaxing and joyful holidays.

Our first week back will be a little different next week. Because it's a bank holiday, we won't be welcoming tasters until the following week. So I thought we would have a little "retrospective" on a few Magic Voices classics from the past which some of you have said you would like to sing again. We will just be having a good old singsong to get your vocal chords back into shape, rather than working through them all. Newish members who don't know a lot of the following songs, it is up to you whether you print them all out - there will be a lot of printing involved, as some of them are long medleys, which we won't be revisiting for a while. You may just prefer to stand next to someone who already has all the music and share their copies, just for this one week.

So the epic running order is as follows:

BEATLES MEDLEY 1

FIELDS OF GOLD

SOUND OF MUSIC MEDLEY

HUSHABYE MOUNTAIN

LES MIS MEDLEY

TRUE COLOURS

BE OUR GUEST

THRILLER MEDLEY

TO MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER

Who knows, we might not even get through them all!

Brand new rep for everyone will start the following week.

Due to ongoing issues with my arm, I'd appreciate some helping unloading my gear and setting out the chairs please - if some kindly souls could arrive for 7.15 please, it would be much appreciated.

See you on Monday, Apples - I've missed your faces!
