Magic Voices Beeston, WB 28/09/2026

Lovely stuff this week. Nice to get back to go the distance which we're all enjoying.

If you weren't there, we've parked the 9 to 5 medley with the big concert over in Mountsorrel in mind.

If you're new to the choir, a massive welcome to you, it's wonderful to have you with us! Over the next few weeks we do have a lot of tracks to go over, but they should be just run throughs really. I'm gonna paste the set list below so if you want to download those tracks so that you've got the sheets in front of you, that would be great. Otherwise, we're a very friendly bunch, you can share with someone next to you for now 🙂. Once we've run over a few of those each week, we will still work on something new so everybody's learning new stuff together.

Set List:

12. Go The Distance

14. Anthem

15. Be Our guest

17. Beautiful Medley

18. When We Were Young

19. how deep is your love

21. Africa

22. Somewhere only we know

23. Sister Act Medley corrected

25. Jersey Boys Medley

Ignore the missing numbers, they were reminders for me to announce things.

Ticket Sales Note:

The concert on the 24th will be in Mountsorrel near Loughborough, and it holds just over 200 people. It's a fantastic modern little theatre with two bars, a proper foyer, box office, and lovely seats. It's a really nice venue.

This is going to be our first outing as the Beeston Magic Voices choir which I'm very excited about, I hope you are too!! You've come such a long way in the last eight months I can't wait to show the Loughborough choir, and the general public how great you are! I'm expecting about 60 people to perform in the concert between the two choirs, so I'm asking that everybody tries their best to sell around 3 tickets each, ideally early and upfront rather than waiting until the day. There won't be a facility to buy tickets on the door, and we really need to know how many tickets we've managed to sell early on so if you can start firing out those texts, emails, phone calls to anyone who might want to come and see you smash it out the park, please do! Now is the time!

See you on Wednesday, for more recapping and Go the Distance.
