Magic Voices Chorley, WB 05/10/2026
Hi Chorleyans
Thanks for a lovely session tonight. It's also great to have such lovely feedback about Chorley Live - we even made it to Lancashire Life! The big time starts here!
Next week I will take numbers for St Marie's, Standish. This concert is on FRIDAY 13TH NOVEMBER starting at 7.30pm, and we are sharing the bill with a ukulele band. I went to see the church last week and it is absolutely beautiful, with an amazing acoustic. If you are not going to be at next week's session, please let me know only if you CAN attend the concert by replying to the email or commenting on the Facebook post. It is a brand new venue for us and I want us to make a good impression, so the more participating the better! If any of you would like tickets for friends and family, they are £10 a head (including interval drinks and cakes!) and you will need to order by emailing me, or commenting on Facebook or in the room next week and I will get them reserved for you - you can collect and pay on the night. We will do 2 half hour sets, the programme for which is as follows:
FIRST SET – 8PM
DANCING QUEEN (Mamma Mia)
HOW DOES A MOMENT LAST FOREVER (Beauty and the Beast)
MEDLEY FROM CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
HEART OF STONE (SIX the Musical)
FROM NOW ON (The Greatest Showman)
ANTHEM (Chess)
SECOND SET – 9.00PM
BE OUR GUEST (Beauty and the Beast)
COME WHAT MAY (Moulin Rouge)
I'M A BELIEVER (Shrek the Musical)
MEDLEY FROM THE LION KING
DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER
ELECTRICITY (Billy Elliot) - encore
You will see that most of the above is the same as Chorley Live. But, we have additions of new songs (From Now On and Come What May) and some old favourites (Dancing Queen, Anthem, Lion King and Electricity).
Next week's list will continue the learning of new songs and recapping some of the older songs for the concert and is as follows:
LION KING
COME FROM AWAY
COME WHAT MAY
WHEN YOU BELIEVE
ELECTRICITY
See you next week!
