Hi Chorleyans

Thanks for a great session tonight, everyone, and for your stamina in standing for 40 minutes! This will stand you in good stead for Saturday night.

Speaking of which, here are the arrangements for Chorley Live.

DATE AND TIME – SAT 3RD OCTOBER 7PM START – please be there for 6.45pm

VENUE – ST LAURENCE'S CHURCH, UNION STREET, PR7 1EB – there is plenty of parking opposite the church and in the nearby streets

DRESS CODE – the usual Magic Voices evening wear. LADIES – BLACK FORMAL SPARKLY AS YOU LIKE. GENTS – WHITE SHIRTS, BLACK TROUSERS AND SILVER TIE/BOW TIE

ADMISSION – free for choir members. Your guests will have to pay for a wristband, but this will gain admittance to all other performances across Chorley over the weekend.

SPACE ODDITY – IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN AT REHEARSAL FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS BUT ARE ATTENDING THE CONCERT, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE PENULTIMATE BAR OF THIS SONG HAS BEEN CUT. SO YOU ONLY SING 4 SHORT AHS AND ONE LONG ONE! AND NO EXTRAS!!!

There is usually a room to assemble in prior to the performance and where you can leave your coats.

We are first on, so we can take our time getting settled. Please stand in the positions you stand in during rehearsals. Space is tight so please be prepared to cosy up! It is stage etiquette that nobody speaks, or even whispers, during/between the songs or during Neil's links.

THIS BIT IS REALLY IMPORTANT – WHEN WE HAVE FINISHED, PLEASE DO NOT STAND AROUND CHATTING! WE NEED TO CLEAR THE AREA AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. ACTS ONLY HAVE 15 MINUTE GAPS IN BETWEEN TO GET INTO THE SPACE, AND SORT OUT THEIR SOUND. SO PLEASE, THERE NEEDS TO BE A SENSE OF URGENCY ONCE WE'VE TAKEN OUR BOWS!
