The Big Lunch Event

Hi Everyone,

The organisers have made the decision to postpone The Big Lunch event at

John Leigh Park tomorrow because of the forecast for strong winds.

Unfortunately, the event's insurance would be invalidated if they

proceeded in those conditions, and there are also understandable safety

concerns regarding gazebos, equipment and the surrounding trees.

The good news is that the event has been postponed rather than

cancelled, and the organisers are already looking at alternative dates.

As soon as I hear anything further, I'll let you know.

Thank you so much to everyone who had planned to come along and sing. I

know it's disappointing to miss out tomorrow, but hopefully we'll be

able to enjoy the event a little later in the summer under much calmer

skies!
