Hi everyone!! I hope you've all had a great weekend!

That was such a fantastic start to the new term, last week! It was so great to be back and thank you to everyone for making all of our new people feel so welcome.

We are now a great big choir of 102 members!!!

Please read through to the end of this message, as I've got some BIG news about our very first major Stafford concert!

THIS WEEK'S PROGRAMME:

We're going to continue with the two new medleys we started last week:

Jersey Boys Medley

Come From Away Medley

The new songs already sound fantastic, and we've barely got started with them! These are going to be two great additions to our concert programme.

Please also bring along for a good old sing-song:

This Is Me

Seasons of Love

A little note for our new members...Please, please don't worry about learning all the music...Some of these songs have been learned over a period of time, so there is absolutely no expectation for you to suddenly know everything note-perfect after joining us.

You've got plenty of time to pick things up, and you'll be amazed how quickly the songs start becoming familiar just by singing them with everyone else in the room.

There are also lots of learning resources on the website too. Either way, there is absolutely no pressure. And most importantly - regardless of how much of the repertoire you've managed to learn, I still want you involved in our big concert!

OUR FIRST BIG STAFFORD CONCERT - AND WE'RE DOING IT TWICE!!!

Now for the exciting bit...Our very first major Magic Voices Stafford concert is happening on Saturday 28th November, and tickets are now on sale! And we've decided that after all the work you're going to put into creating this concert... why perform it once when we can perform it TWICE?!

We're going to have two performances on the same day - our first beginning at 4.30pm, followed by a second performance in the evening.

It means twice the atmosphere, twice the opportunity to perform and more room for all our friends and family. I genuinely hate restricting audience numbers and with such a great choir, once just isn't enough!

A quick note about tickets because this bit is important:

When someone books, they'll be asked which performance they would prefer to attend.

We'll do our very best to give everyone their preferred performance, but because we need to balance audience numbers and parking between the two shows, the selected time is a preference rather than a guaranteed performance time.

So if you're booking tickets, please make sure your guests are available from 4.30pm onwards on Saturday 28th November, regardless of which performance they select as their preference.

I'll explain all of this properly at choir tonight as well, so don't worry if you've got any questions.

SOLO Auditions...

I'll also be explaining our audition process this evening for anyone who might fancy singing a solo or duet in the concert. And before anyone starts panicking at the word AUDITION... I promise you, it's going to be a super easy and relaxed process!

There will be opportunities across our two performances, so if you've ever thought, "I'd quite like to have a go...", come and have a chat with me tomorrow and I'll explain exactly how it'll work.

TEA, COFFEE & A NATTER!

We'll also have our little break halfway through the evening again with: Tea Coffee Hot chocolate Biscuits. Please bring £1 if you'd like to join in. I really like having this little break in the middle of the session - particularly with so many new people joining us. It's a chance to grab a drink, have a natter and actually get to know some of the people you're singing alongside each week.

We are now officially FULL STEAM AHEAD towards 28th November!

Really looking forward to seeing you all later!!

Mike :)
