Magic Voices Wilmslow and Hale - 22nd and 24th September

Hi everyone!! 😊

First things first... here's what you need to bring this week!

We'll continue working on:

🎭 Come From Away Medley✨ When You Believe

And please also bring:

🎄 Fairytale of New York🎅 I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day🎵 You Raise Me Up

That's all you need to bring this week! 😊

We will have our usual little tea break in the middle of the session.

We're starting to get properly stuck into preparations now for our big Christmas Concert at St Peter's Church in Hale on Saturday 5th December, so you'll start seeing more of our Christmas repertoire appearing in the programme over the coming weeks.

🎄 OUR CHRISTMAS CONCERT SET LIST! 🎶

As promised, here are the songs we're planning to include in our Christmas concert.

This isn't the running order yet, so don't worry about the order they're listed in. I'm sending it now so that everyone knows what we're working towards and can make sure they've got the music over the coming weeks.

And just to be clear - you don't need to bring all of these to choir this week! Just bring the songs listed in this week's programme above. 😊

Our Christmas concert songs will include:

🎄 Winter Wonderland

🎵 Dancing Through Life

🎵 Somewhere Only We Know

✨ O Holy Night

🎭 Come From Away Medley

🎵 You Raise Me Up

🎅 I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day

🎄 Fairytale of New York

🔔 Jingle Bell Rock

🎄 Xmas Carol Medley

We will also have some solos and hopefully some small group performances into the programme as well, so there'll be plenty of variety throughout the evening.

I may still add another song or two as we start bringing everything together, but this gives you a really good idea of what we're working towards.

If you're someone who likes to do a bit of homework between sessions, you can start having a listen and doing some extra practice at home too.

🎤 SOLO AUDITIONS...

Just a quick reminder for anyone who would like to audition for a solo.

The process is really easy and relaxed, so please don't be put off by the word AUDITION! 😂

If you'd like to have a go, please book yourself in with:

🎤 Wilmslow - Bob🎤 Hale - Helen

All you need to prepare is around 30 seconds to one minute of the strongest part of a song you know really well.

Ideally, the song you'll eventually perform in the concert but at this stage, I just want to hear you singing something you feel really comfortable with.

📖 OR... HOW ABOUT A CHRISTMAS READING?

If singing a solo isn't your thing, but you quite like the idea of standing up and doing something, I'd also be happy to include a couple of Christmas readings during the concert....

I'd like these to be fairly short and ideally funny, jovial or just something really entertaining to listen to - a little something different to break up the singing.

So if public speaking is more your thing, come and have a chat with me! 😊

Or..If you play a musical instrument and fancy performing a Christmas song... come and have a chat with me!

We've still got plenty of time between now and 5th December, but we're starting to build everything together now and I think this is going to be a really lovely Christmas concert! 🎄✨

Can't wait to see you all soon!

Mike 🙂
