Hi Everyone!
Firstly, Happy New Year to you all! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to getting back to choir again!
By now, most of you will have heard the news that I am returning as Director for our Marple choir.
For many of you who have been with the choir for a long time, you may be pleased by this news.
I want you to know that I am sensitive to the fact that Andy Davies has been your choir leader for the best of 8 months and some of you will have bonded with him over that time. If you are a new member to the group, you won’t even know who I am yet. I am sensitive to this also.
Andy has been the glue that has held the choir together during my time away and I am sincerely grateful to him during what can only be described as a frantic time for me. I am also aware that there have been complications with the transition of directors.
We have a taster session booked for the 16th and I have delayed this so that it gives us a chance to have a good catch up on Monday the 9th January. I would really love us all to be there.
I can’t begin to tell you just how much I am looking forward to catching up with some old friends as well as hopefully making some new ones before new tasters arrive on the 16th.
I would also love to have a good sing song of songs that YOU love to sing before we start learning new ones. Please can you let me know any of your favourites, either in the Facebook comments, or by writing to me at mike@magicvoices.co.uk
I am hugely aware that emotions have been high over the past few months, and we have things to discuss, but my return is permanent and it is my intention to give you all a great weekly session, filled with fun and laughter, sing the fantastic Magic Voices songs, and most of all, give our choir the stability you all deserve. I am thrilled to be back!
