Marple, Wilmslow and Hale - Week Beginning Monday 20/11/23

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a great weekend! Here is our Christmas list of songs… Winter Wonderland Carol Of The Bells O’ Holy Night Xmas Carol Medley Sound of Music Medley Lion King Medley Go The Distance It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas Beauty And The Beast Somewhere Only We Know Please let me know if you have any printing for me to do. :) A quick reminder for newer members… If you are a new member or if you don’t know the Christmas songs, You are still really welcome to attend the concerts! I would do one of 3 things… Option 1… If you have time to learn the songs, That is great, but you must not feel under any pressure. We are only here to have fun! :) Option 2… Sing some of the songs - the ones you can learn and enjoy singing. You are welcome to sit out on the songs you don’t feel comfortable with. Option 3… Sing through the melodies/ tunes only. No one in the audience will notice and I would much rather you take part. Remember - We do this for fun. No pressure or stress is allowed here :) I will continue to rehearse the songs as normal in the sessions, but please don’t feel under any pressure. For example - if we sing the Xmas Carol Medley and you can’t learn all the harmonies in time, You will already know the melody to Silent Night, Away In a Manger and The First Noel and I’d rather you sang just the tunes than not take part at all. :) I have had a request to do the Sound Of Music Opening Prayer in addition to the main Medley. As this is acapella (unaccompanied)… We can only perform this INSIDE. As we only have 3 sessions before our concert at The Glass House in Alderley on the 12th December, I will need to restrict this to those who have either done this song before and/ or those who can sight read or learn very very quickly. If you wish to sing this song and are available for St Peter’s Square (14th December) and The Glass House (12th December), Please bring the sheet music along to rehearsals this week. I will run the song at 9pm after the sessions. I did send out an email asking for your availability for all our concerts. Please PLEASE let me know if you haven’t done so already. :) Please also let me know if you need any copies of any songs! See you all soon! Mike :)
