Hi lovely people, Thanks for brilliant work on Come from Away and O Holy Night/Somewhere in My Memory. We won't look at the Christmas song again for a few weeks. We are going to need some practice away from the rehearsals to get ready for Christmas gigs. Next week we'll start the amazing Fairy Tale of New York so please print that off (I'll have spares for £1). We also need to reinforce You Will Be Found. Full list for next week: Fairy Tale of New York You Will Be Found Come

Hi lovely choir I'm writing to you about a wonderful concert opportunity for you all next summer! Some of you may have seen a mysterious entry on the website's concerts page - "A Night at the Musicals - Wythenshawe Forum" on Saturday 5th June. Yes folks, this is a joint concert, not just for Cheadle and Congleton, but also combining with Andrew's two choirs at Macclesfield and Appleton. This will be a MASSIVE event, which will be conducted by us both, accompanied by a live ba

Hello lovely people, The time has come…I've bowed to popular opinion…Choirs love Christmas! We need to start working on our Christmas rep as we will be doing our own Christmas performance sometime in Dec. Our new concert working group will be sorting this ASAP. Please also put St Mary's Christmas Fayre in your diaries for 5th December. Approx 2pm but this time isn't confirmed. Music wise…let's ease ourselves in. The next few weeks needs some revision of previous rep and finis

Hi lovely people, Keeping it really simple this week. Bring the following music. Let's just have blast through the Evan Hansen song at the beginning then at the end of the rehearsal we'll sing through where we've got up to with the other two. I have something to announce: I would like a small group of people to form a performance/event working group to sort local performances for the choir! Sharing this organisation should mean it's a really straightforward job to organise ch

Hi lovely people, I think it'd be really nice to have one of those rehearsals where we learn some new music then blast through a load of songs for a sing song. Hi lovely people, These four weeks have gone so fast, can't believe we're about to start rehearsing again. I hope a break from me was well received. We had an amazing two weeks in Dawlish, Devon. Much amazing ice cream, some refreshment 🥂 and many memories made. As ever, our first couple of rehearsals will be with some tasters. Please make them feel welcome as always, allowing them to sit towards the front of the sections. We are staying two new pieces which you'll hopefully

Hi lovely people, To celebrate the end of our summer term and before our summer break we'll have a big old sing song after we've finished note bashing You Will Be Found (this should only take approx. 30 mins). I've tried to work back from the recent songs we've learnt/revisited and a balance of old classics. If you want to, please join us at the pub after the rehearsal. Here's the full list, we might not get through them all in the session - I'm afraid I won't be able to prin

Hi All, Lovely to be back with you. Superb singing this week. Important slight timings change next week. Let's get started at 7:45 so we can finish a little earlier than normal and get to watch the England match. Hope that's ok. Re programme I've had a little craving to revisit the following song so if it's alright let's do: Under the moon of love (please let me know if you need that or anything else printing). I also want to reinforce the other two new ones and sing though a

HEEEEEEEEYYYYYYY. What a few weeks we've had. An amazing trip to Yorkshire was had. Absolutely fell in love with the place (yeah I know - i give the place grief all the time but wow - stunning). Also went to Chester just this weekend gone - fun fun fun. I want to do a slightly different session this week where we'll see where we're up to with the two new ones then have a big old sing through of all the recent numbers. Should be fun. Here's the whole list. Song List: Rhythm of

Hi Everyone, The organisers have made the decision to postpone The Big Lunch event at John Leigh Park tomorrow because of the forecast for strong winds. Unfortunately, the event's insurance would be invalidated if they proceeded in those conditions, and there are also understandable safety concerns regarding gazebos, equipment and the surrounding trees. The good news is that the event has been postponed rather than cancelled, and the organisers are already looking at alternat

Hi lovely choir, We're heading off to York today and then the East coast for the rest of the week. Should be amazing with this weather. Need a break, big time. The lovely Mike Richardson is taking the rehearsals this week. A man even more energetic and high pitched than me. You'll have a brilliant time with him. You're going to continue with the sections of the new songs and also run through two recent ones. Here's the full list: Rhythm of life Ain't no mountain A million dre
