Hi everyone! Wahoo! We finished When You Believe! Amazing job, and it sounds beautiful - if you're a fan of it, I'm sure you'll agree, and for those who are still not big fans, I think it'll grow on you! We have a week off now (I'll miss you!), and will be back on 4th November. We'll get started on two new Christmas songs at that point, so please bring to that session: Xmas Carol Medley Beginning to look a lot like Christmas I wish it could be Christmas every day Have yoursel

Hi everyone, Wow, what fun we had last night! Massive thank you to Lisa and everyone at Morton's for a brilliant evening! I hope you had fun, and by all accounts, what they recorded is going to look and sound pretty special. What a privilege to be part of such a great event as the Tree of Light. Next week is our last week before we have a week off over half term. And we're going to sing a few Christmas songs, and I for one can't wait! It's never too early! We'll also continue

Good morning everyone! Fields of Gold is going to be fantastic next week! I'm really excited about Morton's, and hope you are too. Massive thank you to Lisa for arranging it and having us back again! Main thing to remember in terms of the singing is to LOOK AT ME! This is always important, but when we're on camera, they want to see your beautiful faces! The session will be the usual time (7:30-9pm), but we'll be meeting at St Francis Church in Bournville instead (B30 2AA). Li

Hi everyone! Great to be back. Apologies again for the week before last! Things are going well with Fields of Gold! Just two more sessions before we meet at St Francis Church to record for Mortons, so we'll keep that on the programme for those two weeks to get it polished up. This week, we'll also carry on with When You Believe (I promise, you're going to love it!), and let's bring back the Thriller Medley! I'd also love to put Bohemian Rhapsody in there again - I am sorry if

Hi everyone! I've got a slight emergency tonight. The baby is in hospital, a bit sick, and so his mum is going to need to be with him. And so I'm going to need to be at home. Therefore, I'll not be there tonight. I'm ever so sorry, and will miss you all! I've got cover though. Jobe will be there, and I'm sure you'll have a brilliant evening! I've just got a few things to mention to you though: Help with chairs. Jobe is only able to get there for 7:20pm. And Moir is on his hol

Hi everyone! I'm a Believer - finished! Well done, it sounds great! And we made a great start to Fields of Gold, which will definitely be ready for Morton's on 14th October. Hi everyone, Really great to see you on Wednesday after a long summer break! I've missed you! As discussed on Wednesday, we're going to leave one of the two new ones for a little while, and pick up Fields of Gold, so that we can learn this for the Morton's recording for their Tree of Life service. The current date being proposed for this is 14th October, which is a Wednesday, so we'd do it instead of our usual rehearsal (just like we have for the last two years), but this is

Hi everyone! Summer is nearly over (boo!). But, that means that Magic Voices is back! Wahoo! I've missed you over summer, even if it's been a pretty busy one! And am really looking forward to seeing you again! We've got loads of tasters due for the first session back. Please do make them feel welcome, as you always do! Leave a space next to you and your pals for somebody new to sit in. And bring your best singing voices to impress them all! Basically, just be yourself! We're

Hi everyone! First of all, I was so touched by the gift on Wednesday night. And so was my wife! And my little boy! Thank you! You're a wonderful bunch, thank you! And, in fact, one of the onesies you got for the new baby, our big baby has a matching t-shirt! So that will be adorable! As Moir mentioned on Wednesday, next week we'll have a bit of a summer party! We'll have a good sing, and then have some drinks and nibbles together. So feel free to bring something to bring and

Hi everyone! As discussed last week, it looks like a big proportion of the group are not going to be there this week, what with other events going on. So, we'll postpone tomorrow's session. We'll still do it so that we get all the weeks in that you rightly deserve! But what we'll do is take a one week break over the October half term instead of 2. So, whereas we would have had 21st October off, we'll now be on that week instead. For those watching it (which it looks like is m

Hi everyone! Great to see you after a couple of weeks off! And the arrangements for Solihull are coming together brilliantly, sounding superb! Next week, we'll have a dress rehearsal of sorts. We'll run through the full set from start to finish, no gaps, just like we will on the day. Then we'll have a short, 5 minute break (you'll have earned it!), and then run a few of them again just for practice and confidence. And maybe we'll finish with a couple of others, just for fun.

Hi everyone! We're not meeting for a few weeks now! I'll miss you! Have a great couple of weeks off! Hi everyone! Wow, we did it! Good job finishing off Bohemian Rhapsody! It was challenging, but worth it! Ain't no mountain wasn't quite as challenging, but we got that finished too! Just a heads up about term dates. We have a two week break on 3rd and 10th June. That means we have two weeks left before the break. I was thinking of having a couple of weeks of reviewing things, going over some of the more recent things that we've learned to polish them up, and build confidence
